Her father, Conrad Jones, was Vice-President of management consultant firm "Booz, Allen, & Hamilton," in NYC. He had the second highest IQ of all the men drafted into WWII, and with the three other smartest guys, ran the secret radar tower, first of its kind. He attended Yale, Purdue, and Harvard Business School. EDUCATION: For High School, Allison attended Darrow School, a college preparatory boarding school in New Lebanon, NY. There she became trained in Classical Modern Dance, and entered her first dance company at 16 (Olga Dunne). As a child, she had been gymnast (un-even bars and floor-work). She studied dance at the Institute of Contemporary Dance there, and at the University of the Pacific; and she studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston. When she returned from teaching High School in Costa Rica, she went to Columbia University, where she studied Astro-physics. Later, she attended SUNY New Paltz in upstate New York, where she studied Astronomy, Meteorology and Environmental Sciences. LANGUAGE RESEARCH: She was introduced to languages through Greek, when she spent 3 weeks there in 1970, when she was 13. She has traveled across the Indian Peninsula, North America, Central America, and Europe. She lived with the Maya indians in 1977 for 6 months in the Yucatan, became fluent in Spanish, and became a High School teacher in Costa Rica for a year. She has been studying languages and their names for decades, collecting data for her exotic baby name books. More than 50 languages were studied for the names book, and she took tutorials with more than 60 scholars from around the world, all whom were native speakers of the language being studied. She worked for the Internet Language Company, and a Translation Company in Seattle (2002-2003), and has settled in the Pacific Northwest. VACCINE RESEARCH: Allison Jones is the mother of 5 children, and began studying vaccines in 1984, following a bad experience. She set out to find out which were safe for the rest of her children, and did not end up vaccinating them. Her oldest daughter became a Rocket Scientist at MIT. Allison grew up with an older brother, by 12 years, who was a double PHD in Neurophysiology and Toxicology. He always explained everything to her, in a very visual, funny, and comprehensive way, from school through the various labs he worked in. She took her expertise in research to medical libraries for a year, then, began discussing the subject on the radio show, "Frontline Action" (1993-1995). As a prelude to her book about vaccines, she has printed up a 32 page booklet, "Tracking Vaccinations: the Autism Trail." She will be giving them away at her lectures (SEE First Lecture).
